Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey to deliver keynote speech at YW Calgary’s YWHISPER Fundraising Gala
WHAT:
Award-winning New York Times investigative journalists, Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey broke the story of Harvey Weinstein’s years of sexual harassment and abuse towards women and ignited the #MeToo movement across the world.
On March 4th, Kantor and Twohey will be in Calgary as keynote speakers at 9th annual YWHISPER Fundraising Gala to share their story. The outcomes of his trial were released on February 24, with the jury finding him guilty of rape and sexual assault. This decision is a critical component in shifting our culture and creating safe places for women.
More than 1,000 guests will be attending this highly-anticipated event that raises funds to support vulnerable women and their families at YW Calgary, while advocating for women’s safety, social and economic rights.

Media are invited to participate in an open conversation before the Gala on Wednesday,
March 4 to speak with Jodi Kantor, Megan Twohey and Sue Tomney, YW Calgary CEO. Media must arrive at Calgary TELUS Convention Centre by 4:15 p.m. to ensure timely set-up prior to the conference. Media are expected to arrive with prepared questions for spokespeople.
