YW CALGARY LAUNCHES TRANSFORMATION CAMPAIGN

WHAT:                  YWCA Calgary proudly celebrates the launch of its Transformation Campaign with the support of prominent business and community leaders. YW will kick off its She Matters Campaign with more than two-thirds of our goal of $60 million in hand. The YW Hub marks the first time an infrastructure project in Calgary was conceived, designed and built by women for women. This vital project will mobilize community support to ensure vulnerable women in Calgary have access to the programs and services they need in our community for decades to come.

WHY:                     YW Calgary is thrilled to announce the launch of our Transformation Campaign to enable the development of a purpose-built Hub facility vital for women and their families in Calgary and the long-term sustainability of a century-old organization. The YW Hub facility will provide accessible supports for women and their families including transitional housing, counselling, language and employment skills training, childcare spaces and parenting programming as well as support services to manage the organization. This beacon for the community will also offer spaces designed to engage with our neighbours and community partners in new and exciting ways.
