Anyone under 25 can have an appointment

Information for families:

1. 1. The Alex Dental Health Bus will be parked at the YW Hub (1715 17 ave SE). Only one caregiver will be allowed on the bus per family. There may not be access to washrooms on site. Please be prepared to wait outside. Parking is available in parking lot or on street. Buses 1, 101, and 307 stop within a short walk of the YW Hub.
   2. Each appointment will include fluoride treatment, a dental screening with a hygienist, and a referral to a dentist if required. The child will go home with their own dental products, and the family will learn some tips about preventative care. Please bring the patient’s Alberta Health Care number if you have it (will not be turned away if you don’t have it).
   3. Appointment is free of cost, and no documents are necessary, HOWEVER, recommend bringing AB Child Health Benefit card (if receiving AB Works) OR 2020 Notice of Assessment, which will be needed to submit a referral to a dentist with lower fees. If these are not available, bring bank statements or any documents you have to verify income.
