This workshop explores children’s rights and the important role caregivers’ play in supporting the development of emotional, spiritual, physical and intellectual well-being of children. The workshop will explain environmental influences on child development, types of stress, and how the caregiver-child relationship can buffer the effects of adversity. Learn practical tools to recognize the impacts of stress, understand nervous system activation, and strategies to support regulation. This workshop takes a holistic and strengths-based approach focusing on what caregivers, parents, and professionals can do to support children.
